Kate Lukas is a 26 year old Professional Event Rider from Surrey. Kate has been Eventing professionally for four seasons since she graduated from Nottingham University with a Management degree. Kate is working hard to establish herself at the top of Eventing and offer sponsors and owners a unique combination of business and equestrianism.
Highly motivated and determined to succeed, Kate trains with internationally renowned trainers which has provided a solid base to work from. Kate’s motivation and determination to strive for nothing less than perfection mean she is constantly looking for new ways to improve hers and the horses performance. Kate has eight horses to compete in 2008, all of whom have the potential to compete at upper international levels.
The horses have diverse competition schedules competing in FEI, BE, BD and BSJA competitions. 2005 was Kate’s most successful season to date when she won the Derby House owner-rider Novice championship at Henbury Hall on Prime Suspect III. Prime Suspect, now retired, also placed at the final trial for the British European Rural Riders team. In 2006 Kate and Prime Suspect upgraded to Advanced together and qualified for the Novice Championships at Gatcombe. 2007 brought Classy Manifesto to the fore who performed admirably at CIC** and will be aiming to upgrade to Advanced and CCI*** this season.
Cassus, who joined Kate’s team in 2007, showed huge potential throughout 2007 culminating in a strong performance at Varsseveld CIC* (NL) and has a future to be excited about. Attagirl Delphy, Maestro Z and Mianna competed successfully over the winter and will be strong contenders in 2008, whilst Stormhill Russian is again showing the form that previously made her so competitive. Zeta and Dayrells Jet are new and very talented additions to the team.
